Greed

GamesWith prices on E-bay currently soaring toward the $4,000 dollar mark by known sellers others are hoping to find benefactors on wild and crazed bids ranging from possible scams of $100,000 (I don't see any rank on his collar what so ever and his shoulder patch appears to be missing...and I'm pretty sure his chain of command doesn't know about this) to worthwhile as the Red Cross is even auctioning them!

But the bigger problem than that form of greed, is the knowledge that Playstation 3's are essentially a form of quick cash for backyard get rich quick specialists. Either by using the above method, or by beating the hell out of someone

The media would have you believe that the Playstation 3 causes these acts of people being shot, beaten or stabbed Even in the UK people were mobbed and while the violence is is certain and recorded the fact that the Playstation was not the culprit goes unheard until now, is pathetic.

By allowing our society to produce the games that encourage basic violence (hint, pick any of the Grand Theft Auto series), by not punishing criminals who are actually criminals, (deported an illegal lately? They *are* breaking the law) and by failing to actually teach our children instead of handing them over to society because of our sue happy nature, we have allowed one of the basic, base skill sets of our nature to flourish to the point of violence over something as foolish as a Video Game

Greed.

Iraq can go to hell, we don't care about what happens in our government, our representatives can make a mockery of us, our country and can break and set laws with glee said the 30% of the country who didn't bother to vote.

But gimmie that PS3. And your Wallet.

If this is a harbringer of things to come, violence because someone wants drug money by selling a video game console, how far are we from violence over the release of a new car type, computer systems. People standing in line fighting over a groceries.

Supply & Demand? Or General Impatience because as a society we feel that if we want something right now then it should be given to us and we don't care what anyone else thinks? We want it, thats all the matters, and we will have it, even if you got here, slaved for it, waited for it, fine I'll just take it.

Or is it Sony's fault?

You decide.
