Solid Sate Hard Drives on the March

HardwareIt looks like solid state hard drives could be making their way into tablet, handheld and even laptop's in the near future. This article over at Ars Technica talks about how Samsung is really picking up the speed with this technology. Bennifits are quicker data access times and much lower power consumption rates. Only draw back I see right now are capacity limits. We are all used to the 40gb+ laptop hard drive sizes and right now Samsung only has a 16gb solid drive.

If you not sure what a solid state hard drive is, think of them as big thumb-drives or memory sticks. The difference is, they will hold more data and be a lot faster. If you arn't sure what a thumb-drive is, please take a trip to your local Walmart or consumer product mecca and look in their electronics section.
